In
Ireland, history is an integral part of the landscape. From medieval
castles to ancient tombs and standing stones, Ireland is surrounded
by the legacy of its past. Some of these monuments have held their
secrets for over 5,000 years – we know almost nothing about their
function or of the people who built them. Each of these ancient standing
stones, has its own unique character and ambience. I have endeavoured
to capture this atmosphere in a series of photographs which I've entitled
'Portals'. Part 1 of this series can be seen by clicking the image
